Qualcomm India has announced plans for the Qualcomm Semiconductor Mentor Program (“QSMP”) 2022 for select semiconductor startups in India, with the aim of providing and facilitating mentoring, training technical creation, and industry awareness. As the program’s outreach partner and to facilitate exposure for participating companies, the company has partnered with CDAC (Advanced Computing Development Center), a research and development organization Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) flagship developer

Qualcomm India will select up to ten Indian semiconductor startups for this mentoring program and each will be paired with a Qualcomm India leader for semiconductor consulting planning and product development. Entrepreneurs and mentors will meet regularly, in person, or online.

Qualcomm India will also host “Masterclass” seminars for shortlisted companies on semiconductor design topics such as packaging design, testing, and verification, as well as non-technical areas techniques such as presentations, DPI, marketing, and government incentives/opportunities, and team scaling. CDAC and Qualcomm India will help these companies reach out to government stakeholders through meetings, webinars, seminars, and trade shows.
