TECNO launched “Ultimage” today in Delhi at the 2023 Future of Imaging Technology Conference. The company describes it as the “Ultimage imaging experience,” with an emphasis on sensors and AI processing that seamlessly incorporates cutting-edge smartphone imaging technology.
The “Ultimage” technology was developed after extensive market research and testing to meet the demands of portrait photography, anti-shaking technology, and low-light photography.
The CAMON 20 lineup, which comprises the CAMON 20 Premier 5G, CAMON 20 Pro 5G, and CAMON 20, was recently introduced by TECNO. These devices are scheduled to be on sale in India by the end of this month.
According to the company, the CAMON 20 Series will revolutionise mobile photography by offering the industry’s first combination of Sensor-Shift OIS Anti-Shaking Technology, 50MP RGBW Ultra-Sensitive sensor, and proprietary AI algorithms, as well as portrait video and night photography experiences.
RGBW Pro Technology

Using RGBW Pro Technology, the “white” array solution in the conventional RGGB colour filter replaces the “green” array solution, allowing 208% more light to be absorbed in low-light situations.
By swapping out one of the plastic lenses for a glass one, the 1G+6P lens improves the amount of light that enters the primary sensor. To guarantee that photos are as accurate to real-life settings as possible, the main sensor on the TECNO CAMON 20 Premier 5G has also been raised from 1/1.73 to 1/1.56 and the single pixel size from 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
TECNO CAMON 20 Premier 5G users may snap stunningly detailed nighttime portraits with better light transmission, never missing a detail in the dark.
Sensor-shift Technology

The CAMON 20 Premier 5G from TECNO offers in-body image stabilisation. Up to 5,000 vibrations per second can be compensated for by the Sensor-Shift OIS Anti-Shaking Technology. As a result, even when captured while moving quickly, pictures and videos are clear and vibrant.
Sensor-shift employs the movement of the camera’s sensor itself to make up for shaky hands or rough journeys instead of using lens movement. The visuals produced by this cutting-edge anti-shake technology are smoother and crisper than before.
Portrait Master Algorithm

With the Portrait Master, TECNO’s premium series of smartphones promises a lifestyle-focused approach to photography.
Using advances in deep learning and machine intelligence, the sophisticated portrait system can improve seven different skin tones. This algorithm promises to be the most sophisticated in the field with over 50 million deep skin tone images, giving consumers unmatched customization and control for perfecting their photographs.
The Android 14 beta for the CAMON 20 series will arrive this autumn, according to TECNO.
