WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging program, has launched a new Android beta version – 2.23.10.13. This current update adds various new features and improvements to the app, including the ability for some users to edit sent messages.
The main feature of this upgrade would be the ability for users to amend messages they have already sent. This function has long been desired by WhatsApp users, as it would allow them to fix mistakes or explain unclear messages that were sent inadvertently.
The functionality, according to WABetaInfo, works by allowing users to tap on a sent message and then select the “Edit” option from the top menu. They could then make changes to the message, and the revised version would be available to all original message recipients.

However, the feature has certain limitations: changed messages will still display a notification indicating they have been edited, and there will be a time limit on how long users can edit their messages after they have been sent. The current time limit for editing a message is 15 minutes after sending it, and you cannot edit a message sent from another device. When a message is edited, it will display a “edited” label to alert other users that the message is no longer the original.
